About Brianna

Born and raised in the Jacksonville area, I grew up passionate and involved with sports. My hometown, Baker County,  is a small town that is extremely sports oriented. I grew up being surrounded by sporting events, but also participating in a handful myself. I played softball for over 10 years, was a competitive and sideline cheerleader, a majorette, weightlifter, and played flag football. My entire life has revolved around sports, which motivates me to pursue a career in the sporting industry.

Upon graduating in December of 2018, I intend to pursue a career that allows me to combine my passion for sports with my love of interviewing and writing.

I feel confident in using social media such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and WordPress. I am proficient in using the editing software Adobe PremierePro and Adobe Audition.

I have spent numerous hours volunteering for Girls on the Run events for the past two years with the University of North Florida.

I have learned to write on numerous subjects, for example sports, politics, cold cases, and history. I have been published on Project Cold Case with an AP style article. In recent months I have began interning at The Florida Times Union where I work specifically in the sports department, all of these samples can be viewed under my internship tab.

The University of North Florida partnered with the Florida Times Union editorial board as well as other individuals and institutions to create t.v. packages and other digital campaign items for uncovering Jacksonville history. I had the opportunity to create a t.v. package on Norman Film Studios as well as write AP style articles on Stanton High School and Brewster Hospital.

While completing my last semester at UNF this fall I am working on set of Inside Jacksonville to produce a monthly television show with local stories. I have created a package on a local apprenticeship program and a lifestyle change package.

I am confident in my interview skills as well as my public speaking.

I believe that I am a natural leader, and know how to work well with others around me. I am an outgoing person that enjoys creating new relationships with people and sharing life experiences. I work to please my professors by exceeding their expectations as well as my own. I enjoy learning new things and am quick to pick up new information. I believe that I would be a great addition to any team.
